Singin' n' sittin'...

PSCA Recital
(Peoples School of Creative Arts)
Kaylee and Samantha singing "Sisters" from "White Christmas"

Kaylee singing "At Last"

Simon and Sally in a beautiful rendition of "Panis Angelicus."

(Connor had a break this time. He often plays his cello at these recitals. Kaylee has some nice photos of him with his cello somewhere below here in a previous post.)

Max and niece, Jaelyn, didn't sing, but they were pretty special members of the audience (and they provide the transition from the singin' part to the sittin' part).

This here's the sittin' part.

Cuddles. She does a lot of just sittin' around. Actually, lying around. And maybe listening, too. (How about those ears?!)

And Kaylee.
Less ear extension than Cuddles, but just sittin', too.
A Sunday afternoon on the sofa - with mom. How nice.

Sonnet In Iambic Pentameter- (Inspired by that inner push called........extra credit) :-)

And He Proposed

The clock struck nine and love was in the air.

His trembling lips asked, “Darling, will you dine?”

She answered, “Yes,” but wondered what to wear,

Then donned a dress and went out looking fine.

Once on the way, he lost all use of tongue,

Which made fair maid suspicious to the cause.

And though missed turns produced laments unsung,

He drove her on and showed his nerves their boss.

The restaurant reached and dinner in the past,

He posed a stroll down sandy, moonlit shore.

The two then walked, young beau now holding fast

With shaking palm, a ring for lass adored.

When stillness reigned he paused and slowed their stride.

Then on one knee pled, “Will you be my bride?”

The Joy of Music

If you've ever wondered what goes on Tuesday nights, these pictures ought to give you an idea. I took some videos, too, but for some reason they don't want to upload.

The community choir (and a couple mascots)

In action

"Ah, come on Mrs. Clark. You want us to do THAT warm up??!!"

lots of laughter

Pastor Tim makes Pooh Bear come to life for Joy

And there were also the command performances

And while we're on the subject of music, here are some photos that I took of Connor for his 8th grade graduation.

Our trip (and some experimental photos)

In March, our family went down south to visit my grandparents and they took us to see Forest Lawn and its museum. It was absolutely b-e-a-u-tiful and we really enjoyed it. They also took us to the beach at the end of the day to relax in the sun and run in the sand.

You could see a panorama of LA if you looked really close at the clear parts in the stained glass.

Oh....and I met my Knight in Shining Armour :op

Love birds

Had a very interesting discussion

Pondering LA
