a little nostalgia....

I took these photos yesterday, I think...

Such happy bedtimes.... songs, stories, a few monkeys jumping on the bed...

The Indian maiden - Kindergarten Thanksgiving feast

early studies in civil engineering
neighborhood travels

and yes, weddings

Ashley and Jenny, trying on their dresses for the upcoming wedding (in just 3 1/2 weeks!)

We're in favor of early marriages. Connor's been married since he was 2.

Looking for that new perspective on life

and enjoying the company of good friends

Family, a great gift

A blessed Christmas, from our family to yours.

My son....

Trust in the LORD with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge him,

and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3: 1, 5-6

(Can you tell a wedding's coming up?! My walks down memory lane have been sweet, with so much for which to be thankful. Thanks for sharing a bit of the walk with me here. Time has a way of moving on -- but with the Lord guiding our paths, and Him at our right hand, there's fullness of joy and great anticipation for all that's ahead.)

It seems that most of my comments start with "Wow!" on this blog, so I thought I'd mix it up by first observing this fact before following with a heart felt exclamation.

Wow!

What a terrific post, Lori. It is seldom indeed that I am treated to such a warm and beautiful family post like this. You've had, and continue to have a wonderful family! Thank you for sharing.

Seeing those pictures of a much littler Jenny is very... how should I say it? Mind-bending! When in just 22 days 10 hours 55 minutes (thanks Max) she will be wed to one of my best friends! Maybe that is not so hard to see for you, but my little 23 year old brain still finds that amazing.

Kaylee and Connor look adorable as well :P.

PS: Connor married since 2?! You guys ARE progressive!

AHHHH! I have heard Jenny say that she hopes she has cute kids! Well as cute as all of yours were, I do not think she should worry any! What a great post Lori! Love and miss you all!

Rachel and I have been sitting here enjoying the memories. I still remember you coming by the house to pick up things as you started your journey in home education. Another memory is my Ben (now 16) crying under the table at your church during Bible study as the other children happily played. They grow so fast. Rachel wants badly to be at the wedding. She has to get permission from her coach. We'll see. Thank you for the fun post.
